I am an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science at The University of Iowa. Before that, I was a postdoctoral fellow working with Song Han at the School of Computing at the University of Connecticut. In 2022, I worked with Nan Guan as a postdoc at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I obtained my Ph.D. from Northeastern University, China, and was supervised by X. Sharon Hu during my visit to Notre Dame.
My research interest centers around real-time cyber-physical systems subject to stringent timing and reliability requirements. Examples of applications include industrial internet-of-things (IIoT), autonomous vehicles, avionics, etc. My current research focuses mainly on the resource management and scheduling framework design/analysis/implementation for emerging IIoT systems, including industrial 5G, time-sensitive networking (TSN), and wireless sensor-actuator networks (WSANs). My general research goal is to make real-time cyber-physical systems deterministic, reliable, and secure.
We are actively looking for talented master/PhD students and interns to work on real-time cyber-physical systems. If you are interested, please drop me an email with your CV.
