We are looking for motivated M.S. and Ph.D. students who are interested in cyber-physical systems, real-time systems, and computer networks. Our research focuses particularly on mission-critical wired and wireless networks with stringent timing, reliability, and security requirements. Currently projects include resource management, scheduling, and system design for industrial 5G/6G, Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), and converged industrial networks.

Requirements: Applicants to the Ph.D. program should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a closely related field. Our research spans both theoretical analysis and system-level implementation. Applicants should demonstrate strength in either of the following areas: 

• Mathematical foundations, such as optimization or operations research; or
• Strong programming and system implementation skills.

Prior publications are not required. Relevant research or project experience is often a more direct way to demonstrate a good fit. For general admission requirements (e.g., GRE and TOEFL/IELTS), please check the CS Department admissions page here.
